Social Justice
Our understanding and practice of morality should reflect the very character of God. The world should come to understand the kingdom of God and the character of King Jesus when they observe the priorities and lifestyles of Christians, citizens of the kingdom. While Christians today emphasize many different moral issues as "most important," a careful study of Scripture, particularly the Hebrew prophets and the words of Jesus, reveals that justice and mercy are cardinal moral imperatives. They reflect the heart of God. The resources in this section explain the biblical "justice/mercy" imperative and relate it to contemporary debates and needs. Practical resources are also given for developing justice mercy ministries.
